The Upper Midwest Spring Sale reflected the struggling dairy economy today as 65 females averaged $1,444. The top seller was a fancy four-year-old, Lot 18. She is a granddaughter of World Dairy Expo Jr Champion Dari Dale Fortune Daisy, EX-90. She sold to Friendship Farm of Millbrook, NY for $4800. Cattle went as far as Maine, Ohio and Pennsylvania but overall demand was soft for cows and bred heifers and some great animals with full pedigrees were added to herds at discount prices.
